Peter Zubchinsky has been teaching with the Peel board for over 20 years. He completed his Undergraduate and Education Degree at Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish N.S. 

Professional Journey 

He started his career in Middle School and then found his calling with High school-aged students. He has taught in the Special Education and Physical Education Department. He has been coaching a variety of sports within the school as well as outside.  

Current Role 

Peter is a teacher facilitating the Leadership course (PLF4M) as well as the Kinesiology course (PSK4U). 

Educational Philosophy 

Peter’s approach emphasizes: 

• Diversity and inclusion by examining sports from different countries. 
• University and life skills required to be successful at the post-secondary level.
• Open communication between the student and teacher. 

Personal Life 

Peter resides in Caledon, Ontario, with his wife and their three children. He enjoys the outdoors and watching the leaves change colour in the fall.
