Susan Stone has been an educator for 20 years. She completed her Bachelor of Education Degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Professional Journey

Susan started her career as a Grade 2 teacher on a Cree Reserve in Northern Ontario. She then moved to Mississauga and began teaching ESL, Special Education, and Planning Time subjects. Throughout the last 18 years, her focus has been teaching music to elementary aged children. Susan is a life-long learner, completing Additional Qualifications in ESL Specialist and ISSP Specialist; as well as, Principal Qualifications.

Current Role

Susan is the Principal of Ontario Online Schools.

Susan has a strong belief in student directed learning that emphasizes student voice and agency. Her passion for education is driven by innovative teaching methods tailored to meet the needs of individual learners.

Personal Life

Susan lives by Lake Ontario with her husband and 2 children. Although she has lived in Ontario for 20 years, Newfoundland and Labrador is still home!
